Gary Wales, 22, from near Falkirk, had a non-speaking role in the HBO series and is now set to hit the catwalk in London.

A bit part actor who appeared in Games of Thrones has been plucked from obscurity to model at London Fashion Week.

Gary Wales had a non-speaking role as Healtor Frey in the acclaimed HBO series after catching the acting bug at primary school.

Now the 22-year-old will make his debut as a catwalk model at one of the biggest events on the fashion industry calendar.

He’s been chosen to model clothes for emerging designers at a September showcase.

Gary, from Bo’ness, near Falkirk, has appeared in a number of short films.

He appeared in the sixth series of Game of Thrones at 19, suffering a ­gruesome death in the show.

Gary said: “I’ve been concentrating on my acting career and I’m not really a big person for modelling.

“I had some photos taken last month. The photo­grapher had contacts with House of iKons at London Fashion Week and he ended up showing them to people he knew there.

“I’ve had four designers confirmed so far and ­hopefully I might get more.

“It’s not something I was looking to go into but I’ll give it a shot.”

Gary will be modelling in a show at London Fashion Week for the House of iKons, who aim to be a launchpad for emerging designers.
